Welcome to NutriLens (the "App"). Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account and Identity Information

• The App can be used anonymously without registration.
• You may optionally sign in with your Google or Apple account. In this case, your email address, display name, and profile photo URL are stored.
• When linking accounts, data from your guest account is transferred to your authenticated account.

1.2 Camera and Image Data

• The App requests access to your device's camera to scan barcodes.
• For products not found in our database, you may be asked to take a photo of the ingredient list. These photos are transmitted to our servers solely for product analysis and are not stored on your device.

1.3 Scan and Usage Data

• Barcode numbers and scan dates of products you scan.
• Products you add to favorites.
• Discovery points you earn.
• Your app language preference.

1.4 Health Profile Data (PRO)

• NutriLens PRO subscribers can save allergen information (e.g., gluten, lactose, nuts), diet preferences (e.g., vegan, keto, halal), and avoided ingredients (e.g., palm oil, MSG) to receive personalized warnings.
• Family member profiles (name, age, allergens) are also stored on our servers.
• This data is used solely to provide you with personalized product warnings.

1.5 Subscription Data

• Your PRO subscription status, subscription platform (iOS/Android), product identifier, and subscription duration are stored.
• Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect your credit card or payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide health scores, nutrition facts, additives, Nutri-Score, NOVA processing levels, and Green Score information by scanning food product barcodes.
• To display personalized warnings based on your allergen profile.
• To store your scan history and favorite products.
• To generate weekly nutrition reports (PRO).
• To suggest healthier alternative products (PRO).
• To enable product comparison features (PRO).
• To improve the App's performance and product database.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide accurate and up-to-date analysis, we work with trusted third-party service providers:

• Open Food Facts: Barcode data is queried anonymously against the Open Food Facts open-source database containing over 3 million products worldwide.
• Google Gemini: Ingredient photos and texts for products not in our database are transmitted to Google servers via encrypted connection for analysis. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
• RevenueCat: RevenueCat infrastructure is used for subscription management and verification.
• Firebase Authentication: If you sign in with Google or Apple, authentication is handled through Firebase.

4. Data Storage and Security

• All data is transmitted via encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
• Server-side API key verification prevents unauthorized access.
• Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in Turkey.

5. Local Notifications

The App may send locally scheduled notifications on your device only. These notifications contain no marketing or advertising; they serve solely as reminders to scan products after a period of inactivity. You can disable them at any time in the App settings.

6. Your Data Deletion Rights

You have full control over your data:

• You can permanently and irreversibly delete all data associated with your account (scan history, favorites, health profile, family profiles, points) from our servers by using the "Profile > Delete My Account" option within the App.
• Data cannot be recovered after account deletion.
• You may also request data deletion by emailing support@finestfor.com.

6. Children's Privacy

NutriLens does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The Family Profiles feature allows parents to manage their children's allergen information under their own account. Kids Mode only simplifies the interface and does not collect additional data.

7. International Data Transfers

For product analysis, your data may be transmitted to Google servers (USA) and Open Food Facts servers (France). These transfers are made via encrypted connections.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
